FCCA darovali 1,000 galonů barvy Ministerstvu Turismu
Na oficiálním ceremoniálu v pátek 9.července v Fort Street Tourism Village darovala asociace Florida-Caribbean Cruise
1000 galónů barvy Ministerstvu Turismu.
At a Cruise meeting held in Copan last month where the Minister of Tourism,
Civil Aviation & Culture, Hon. Manuel Heredia, Jr., CEO, Mr. Mike Singh,
Product Development Director, Mrs. Laura Esquivel-Frampton and the Registrar of
Hotels, Mr. Lloyd Enriquez attended, open discussions were made with the
President of the FCCA, Michele Paige, on how they can assist in the continued
beautification of the Belize Cruise Tourism Product. As a result of these
discussions, Ms. Paige forged her commitment by donating 1,000 gallons of base
paint that the Ministry will use for beautification projects around the city.
The FCCA works with Governments, ports and all private sector representatives to
maximize cruise passenger, cruise line employee spending, along with working to
enhance the destination experience and the amount of cruise passengers returning
as long-stay visitors.
"The Ministry is grateful to Ms. Michele Paige and the FCCA for helping to
enhance the beauty of Belize through the donation of the paint." "The Ministry
will form a committee comprising of persons from the Belize City Council, the
CYDP and Youth for the Future to decide how the paint will be deployed," CEO
Singh stated.
It is important to note that the FCCA has also donated toys to the Children of
Belize during the Christmas season. In its fourteen years of existence, the FCCA
Foundation has impacted the lives of tens of thousands of Caribbean citizens
providing almost $3 million in funding to causes and charities throughout the
region. The foundation is just one way the cruise industry shows its support to
its Caribbean partners.
