BTB se setkali s obchodními partnery v Toledu
BTB provedli jejich druhou návštěvu v rámci serie marketingových návštěv okolo země.
Marketingový tým vedený ředitelem marketingu&pro styk s veřejností panem Shakira Tsai se setkal v Toledu
s obchodními partnery pro turistiku.
The BTB Team, with the support of the BTIA”s Toldeo Chapter met with
stakeholders at their place of business in Punta Gorda Town, Big Falls,
Jacintoville, Indian Creek and and Moho Caye, San Felipe/Santa Ana and Sun
Creek.
The Marketing Destination stop in Toledo also included a cocktail and marketing
presentation for all stakeholders which was held on Wednesday, August 26th, 2009
at Marian’s Bayview Restaurant and Bar.
The evening presentation was well attended and saw approximately 40 stakeholders
in attendance. The group highlighted the marketing efforts of the Belize Tourism
Board’s Marketing Team and its current work plan for the industry in this fiscal
period. It also highlighted the efforts undertaken to assist Toledo at the
destination level in the area of Marketing and Public Relations as well as
opportunities with the BTB where stakeholders can take advantage of same. The
group also had an opportunity to view the latest promotional production of
Belize on b-roll which allows the destination a captivating presence on
broadcast and television media with the international press. The presentation
ended with a question and answer period that further engaged the group in
discussions.
The newly developed Tourism Marketing Kit was well received by stakeholders. It
was compiled by the BTB for the industry as a tool to assist in executing
efficient and effective marketing initiatives that will afford the stakeholders
the opportunity to further grow their tourism markets and improve the return on
investments. The booklet includes information on the Belize tourism marketing
objectives, the tradeshow schedule, guidelines on generating leads and making
sales, tips on closing the sale and the top ten marketing tips. It is also
available on-line at www.belizetourism.org.
“Destination marketing continues to be a key function of the BTB,” comments
Tourism Director, Mrs. Tracy Panton. “The Marketing Destination Visits are an
extension of our annual industry presentation we host in Belize City every year.
Moreover, it provides us with a direct link to our stakeholders and adds
increased value with our team as we meet with our key players on the ground,”
she went on to say.
The BTB group also saw the participation of Board’s Southern Representaive, Mr.
Lindsay Garbutt, and the BTB’s Registar of Hotels, Mr. Lloyd Enriquez. The Team
is appreciative of the support and hospitality rendered by the private sector as
the group visited with them and looks forward to a continued working
relationship.
The visit to the Toledo District is part of a series of destination visits the
BTB Marketing Team is planning to host with stakeholders around the country in
an effort to provide an open forum for discussion on the plans that the BTB’s
Marketing Team has scheduled for the year. The first presentation was done in
San Ignacio, Cayo to approximately 50 stakeholders from the Cayo area. A
scheduled is being formulated for the other destination visits scheduled to take
place shortly.
