Belize byla zastoupena na THETRADESHOW (Travel Retailing and Destination Expo) v Las Vegas
od 13. do 15.září v Las Vegaském Convention Centru. THETRADESHOW je 3-denní důkladná síťová a vzdělávací událost.

This year, THETRADESHOW offered more incentives than ever for qualified agents
to attend North America’s largest retail travel event. The newest incentive –
the Hosted Buyer Program, - offered agents the opportunity to actually be hosted
by a THETRADESHOW partner. Launching a hosted buyer program positioned
THETRADESHOW as one of the elite trade shows for travel agents and suppliers.
This program is just one of the ways THETRADESHOW ensured exhibiting partners
that attending agents are serious, qualified agents with whom they want to do
business. The agents who were selected to be part of the program, had
appointment schedules to meet with certain exhibitors at the show, as well
attend many of the more than 45 seminars offered over the three-day event.
Marketing Director of the Belize Tourism Board, Shakira Tsai and Marketing
Officer, Shyvonne Leslie, met with agents from Cruise & Vacations, Thomas
Hogan Travel, Travel Consulting Marketing, SailAway Cruises & Tours, Travel
Leaders, Expedia, Inc., International accents and Unique Vacations by Caren. In
addition to the show, they had the opportunity to network and learn from other
officials from the world’s leading National Tourism Offices (NTO) at the fourth
annual NTO Summit. Open to all destinations, the forum provided a venue for NTO
representatives to meet and discuss issues relevant to their specific industry
niche. Featured presentations at the summit included Marketing the value of your
destination in today’s economy and Capitalizing on profitable niche markets –
what works in specialized segments. Speakers included publisher of Travel
Research Online and the content director for ProMedia.travel.
