TravelMart Latin America zahájen v Chile

Belize se prezentovala na 33. výročním TravelMart Latin America, který byl oficiálně zahájen ve čtvrtek 23. září 2009 v Patagonii, Chile.

TravelMart Latin America is the most important business development event of the year for Latin America Tourism and is attended by "Buyers" of Tourism Products and Services from global markets, and "Suppliers" representing every country in the Region. This event boasts over 6,000 pre-scheduled appointments and has earned a reputation for quality and results since it was inaugurated since 1978. TravelMart Latin America is an appointment based show which had the participation of some five hundred travel agents and wholesalers from around the world.

During the two day business sessions, BTB representatives were engaged in approximately forty appointments, exclusive of unscheduled meeting sessions. While at the show, BTB representatives also attended the LAN Seminar on “How to sell Latin America in 2010 – Observations on the UK Marketplace”. They also attended the Supplier Seminar which focused on the topic, “Marketing Latin America in Today’s Economy” and the Rainforest Alliance Seminar which focused on “Sustainable Tourism.”

“Attendance at shows such like these gives us the opportunity to meet with a wide variety of wholesalers and tour operators whose main interest is to sell destinations such as Belize,” comments Tourism Director, Tracy Panton. “We look forward to future working relationships with the agents we met with at the show, as well as securing new business as we forge ahead to promote Belize in Latin America,” Panton noted.

Participating members at this event included the Belize Hotel Association and the Belize Tourism Industry Association. Representing the Belize Tourism Board were Mrs. Mariam Roberson, Board Member and Ms. Karina Cunil, Marketing Officer.
