The Caribbean Tourism Organization's (CTO) Scholarship Foundation is offering: a full tuition scholarship, valued at US$46,000, for a Caribbean student to advance his/her education by pursuing a bachelor's degree programme in Hospitality Management, over the course of eight semesters of full-time study, at Monroe College in New York, NY, U.S.A. This very generous and unique offer from Monroe College has been offered to Caribbean students in celebration of Caribbean Week in New York in 2010 and in recognition of the diverse student body that make up this College, including many Caribbean students.

Or click here to download an application form, fill out the required relevant information and return to the CTO by July 31, 2010. Once CTO shortlists the student for the scholarship, that person must also then meet the admission requirements of Monroe College for the 2010-2011 academic year, to begin study in one of the three semesters (Fall, Winter or Spring) and must be accepted under the college's admission criteria for students seeking study under a F-1 Visa.

The College will expedite the processing of the student's application so that the student could start classes in September 2010 if he/she so desires and is able to get the student visa and other financing matters organized in time. To maintain eligibility for the scholarship from year to year, the student would be required to meet the academic requirements of Monroe College's scholarship programmes, as outlined in its catalogue.

Before the scholarship is granted, the shortlisted applicant will have to prove that he/she can meet other expenses related to doing this bachelor's programme abroad, including:

housing, meals, books, local transportation etc. and he/she will also be responsible for securing the U.S. F-1 Visa.
